What is electronic signature software?
Electronic signature software lets you send a document for signature and collect a legally binding signature online. It records who signed, when, and from where, and produces a sealed copy you can rely on later.
How do I sign a document online?
Open the link from your email, fill in any fields marked for you, then draw, type or upload your signature and finish. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
How do I know the person signing is who they say they are?
A signing link proves somebody had access to an inbox, which is not the same as proving who they are. Identity checks are optional and set one signatory at a time: each person on an envelope has their own tick box, off unless you turn it on, so you can check the counterparty and leave your own team to sign as normal. Tick it and SignSecure asks that person to photograph a passport, driving licence or national ID before the document will open. The check runs first, so a document is never signed by somebody who then fails it. Our verification partner collects and checks the document; SignSecure only ever receives whether it passed, and the result is written into the audit trail beside the signature. Identity checks are an add-on at £25 a month for ten.
Is an eSign tool legally binding?
Yes. Electronic signatures are recognised under the ESIGN Act and UETA in the United States and eIDAS in the European Union. Every SignSecure document carries a recorded document hash and a full audit trail as evidence.
How do I create an electronic signature for free?

What is the difference between an electronic signature and a digital signature?
